1Co 1:28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,
1Co 1:29 that no flesh should glory in His presence.
Through out history , God has always used small things to accomplish big tasks. God’s wisdom is the opposite of man’s wisdom, and what is considered foolish by human standards , God considers wise. God delights in doing big things using that which is seemingly insignificant.
During Paul’s ministry, the Corinthians took no account of the church. They treated the church as if it did not exist. They classified themselves as the people who” mattered most” and had low opinion of believers. Some perceived the message of the cross as foolishness.
And even in this present age , God has chosen the lowly, the “foolish”, and the weak to accomplish great tasks. Sometimes men may disregard you on account of your faith. God chooses us because of his grace not because of our worth to accomplish great things for his glory.
