Act 3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” Act 3:7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
One afternoon at three, Peter and John went up to the Jewish temple to pray. There , they met a man who had been a cripple from birth. This man’s legs were certainly badly deformed and no operation of the day could restore such a deformity.
When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money. But Peter and John had no money to give him. They too were poor. Initially , they had been fishermen and they had left everything to follow Christ. But what they had was far much better than gold and silver. They had the power of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the name of Jesus they commanded the crippled man to rise and walk.
Likewise, you are a solution to someone’s else problem. What you posses is better than gold and silver. Even when you have nothing to give, you can be there for them, pray with them, give counsel, or even point them to Jesus. When you have Christ, you have everything!
