Mar 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”Mar 5:31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
For twelve good years the woman referred above was suffering from hemorrhage. She met many doctors but could not be cured. She spent all her resources to gain healing but instead became more fragile. She was socially an out cast according to social standards defined by the law. She new her moment of healing had come and she did not want to miss it.
She came from behind and as she touched his cloak, she was healed. At once, Jesus realized that power had gone out of him and asked, ” who has touched me? This was not a touch from the religious leader and neither was it from the multitude who thronged around him, No! It was a touch with a difference.
Many people crowd around Jesus but do not receive any blessings or benefits. Only those who put their faith and trust in him in a personal way get blessed. God wants us to reach out to him and touch him by our faith. Our faith will draw power from him.
” And without faith it is impossible to please God and Whoever comes to him must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek him diligently “( Heb 11:6)
