Joh 13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.
Apostle John is the writer of the gospel of John. The disciple being referred to as leaning on Jesus bosom is John. His head was leaning upon his master’s bosom; lost in His love. John knew for sure that Jesus loved him. Jesus had special love for John. Of all the disciples, John had the closest relationship to Jesus.
What a privilege to know that our savior loves us this much? Joh 15:13 ” Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends . Out of love you were called by grace , made a child of God and a heir of the heavenly kingdom.
Let us live in the influence and sweetness of our savior’s love. He could not live in heaven alone without us. He loved us so much that he gave his life for us. 1Jo 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!
