Psalm 12:6
The words of the LORD are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.
Silver is tried in a furnace of earth. The metal to be purified must be mingled with lead, and laid on the cupel, and exposed to a strong heat in an air furnace. The impurities of the metal will be partly absorbed, and partly thrown off in fume. The metal will continue in a state of agitation till all the impurities are thrown off; it will then become perfectly still, no more motion appearing, which is the token that the process is completed, or, according to the words of the text, is seven times, that is, perfectly purified.(Wikipedia)
The word of the Lord is dependable and trustworthy. It has stood the test of time and proven infallible. It is absolute truth and faithful. Everything is as it is represented and not otherwise; it does not jest with us, not impose upon us, nor has it any other design towards us than our own good. God’s word is of great and intrinsic value. Like silver, it has nothing in it to depreciate it.
This word is very precious even to the author himself that He has exalted His word above His name (Psa 138:2b).Which is that circumstance that you are going through? What does the word of God say about that situation? Stand firm on this infallible word that has been tried and tested and you will attest to the outcome.
