Mat 11:3 and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”
Mat 11:4 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
Mat 11:5 “The blind receive their sight and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
The Bible reminds us that no one is immune to deep disorienting spiritual wrestling. John was a relative of Jesus Christ. He is the one who prepared the roadmap of his ministry. He is the one who baptized him and introduced him to the public. But while in prison, he sent two of his disciples to ask him whether indeed he was the Messiah.
Jesus told John’s disciples to inform him what they saw and heard…” the blind were receiving their sights, the lepers were cleansed, the dead raised, and the poor were receiving the Gospel “. In other words, Jesus told John not to doubt that indeed he was the Messiah.
When we see the works of God in our lives; his salvation, Providence, deliverance, his love, mercy and grace , our faith is rekindled and the darkness of doubt gives way to the works of faith. When we start counting our blessings one by one , every doubt will melt down and our faith will be strengthened.
