Ru 1:2 The name of the man was Elimelech, the name of his wife was Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chilion-Ephrathites of Bethlehem, Judah. And they went to the country of Moab and remained there.
This family moves from Bethlehem “The House of Bread” to Moab a country of pagan worship. The move was necessitated by an emergence of famine in Bethlehem. In Moab, Naomi was widowed and her sons passed on. She was left in a state of bitterness as life had treated her cruelly.
A temporal situation made this family make a decision that would bring ripple effects to their lives. It ripped off Naomi of her strength and protection and left her a childless widow. Before you move to “greener pastures” check it out. What may seem to glitter might in the long run turn out to be the enemy’s bait to have you relocate.
It was ironical to move out of the house of bread in search of bread. Many are the times The House of Bread would look like it is not trending. The world suggests we opt out in search of happiness. Giving in will usher us to a vulnerable position where we lose God’s providence. Outside His House, life will treat us harsh and rip off the glory we have acquired. The best offer the world has is temporal fix after which we regret.
Stay put in the House of Bread for God will shine His countenance upon you. His Glory will be risen upon you and your rising shall be great.
