2 Corinthians 10:4
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,(NKJV)
Thanksgiving is a very powerful spiritual weapon that we have been given to engage in our warfare.
Luk 17:17-19 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are] the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.(KJV)
Leprosy is a disease that not only affects the skin, but cuts off parts of the body like limbs, nose, ears as it eats the victim slowly and the ultimate is death. To be made whole in medical terms, meant he was completely healed and restored. When he engaged this weapon, this battle with this disease was won.
Philippians 4:6-7:Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.(NKJV)
If human beings appreciates when someone thanks us, how much more will our heavenly Father love it when we appreciate him?
Thanksgiving increases faith. It makes us know that if God did it, He will surely do it again.
Thanksgiving removes anxiety, doubt and depression. The enemy does not want us to engage this weapon. He will always bring to us the thoughts of never having enough. If we get answers to our prayers, he will make us feel that there is something better than what we have received.
Let us engage the weapon of thanksgiving in our walk of faith.
