1Th 2:4 But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.
Do we seek God’s approval in all our undertakings? Whom do we seek to impress the most? People or God? What has been and still is our driving force? People will always have an opinion about you. But you don’t need everyone’s approval for your dreams to come true.
At no time did Paul ever try to put up a false front in order to trick men and gain their approval. His motive was not impure because he had already obtained a ” heavenly ” approval. God was already pleased with what Paul was doing. All our activities must demonstrate our love , faith, trust and reliance on God.
May we consciously, knowingly and willingly seek God, his will and his pleasure above all others. We must dislodge ourselves from people pleasing addiction and align ourselves in God’s agenda for our lives .
