Act 28:1 Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the island was called Malta.
Act 28:2 And the natives showed us unusual kindness; for they kindled a fire and made us all welcome, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold.
This was a night like no other for Paul and all who were with him in the ship. When daylight came, the sailors saw a sandy beach without rocks and decided to try and run the ship aground there. However, before reaching the beach, it crushed on a sandbar that was not visible and the waves quickly broke down the ship. Those who could swim jumped overboard and got into the land while other used planks from the sheep to get there.
Once safely o the shore, they found out that the island was called Malta. The Islanders built a fire and welcomed them because it was raining and cold. This warmed them and cheered them up. Although they had lost everything including the ship, once again the hope to continue living was rekindled not only by the fire, but also the hospitality of the indigenous.
Like Paul and the sailors, you may be at the rock bottom. From the look of things, you are at a dead end. Don’t give up, it’s time to rekindle the fire in your life. Don’t remain in the cold and in the rain. Put on the spiritual fire in ; rekindle the fire of hope and faith in the Lord. It’s time to bounce back again!
