Luk 14:28-30 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.
In His teaching ,Jesus emphasizes on the importance of proper budgeting before embarking on a project as an analogy for the cost of discipleship. If poor planning is preceded by project commencement,failure may be inevitable breeding ridicule and shame from spectators .
It is rightly said that ” The end of the matter is better than the beginning”. This doesn’t nullify the essence of a good start .*
Everyone experiences failure in life. We all have setbacks and losses, and sometimes a defeat can seem overwhelming to you. Once in a while, we are the ones that bring defeat on ourselves .You remember the old saying, “ If you fail to plan, you plan to fail ?” I believe that one of the reasons we fail is because we tend to be impulsive, and we just don’t plan ahead like we should .
Prior preparation is an act of godliness and a sign of wisdom. It wasn’t raining when Noah began to build the ark!(Chris Beam)
