Prodigals are known not only in the arena of wasting resources but wasting themselves as well. *The greatest pain is not only seeing them becoming reckless on what God has given them for their well being and that of their families, but gradually disastrously moving towards the wrong direction.*
It took extreme hunger to prompt the younger son to come back to his senses. He realized that , despite all he had done, the correct course of action was to return home and become one of his Father’s servants. He knew very well that he did not deserve a good reception. *That not withstanding, he decided to go back home where he belonged.*
*Despite whatever might have happened, do not throw in the towel; prodigals do come back home* . You have been praying for a wayward student, a spouse, son ,daughter, brother, workmate, your boss etc and everything seems to be going from bad to worse. *Do not give up because God has not given up on them. Soon, sooner than expected , they will stream back home to a warm reception.*
