Jude 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,Jude 1:25 To God our Savior, Who alone is wise,Be glory and majesty,Dominion and power,Both now and forever. Amen.
This was a conclusion of a short letter written to ” those who are called, sanctified by God the father and preserved in Jesus Christ ” ( Verse 1). Jude ended his letter with a doxology that served as a reminder of the divine power available to keep believers as they contended against heretics ( Holman Study Bible, NKJV).
Jude praised God because he was able to keep them from falling into a life of sin. Christ was able to keep them from stumbling and at the end present them faultless, with joy before the father. He reassured them that it was God only who could sustain them and purify them despite the many challenges they encountered.
These are the days of stumbling believers. The good news is that the Lord is not only able to keep us from falling, but he is also able to pick up those who stumble, restore them and use them to accomplish his purposes . Christ is able to keep us in his grip and present us blameless before himself. Not only can he do this, but he does it with great joy.
