Lev 13:23 “But if the bright spot stays in one place, and has not spread, it is the scar of the boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
In these text, the Priest was guided on how to make a judgement on whether the bright spot on the skin was leprous or not. The spreading of the spot to other parts of the body was a sure sign of the disease in the body. But if the bright spot stayed in one place, then it was the scar of the boil and the Priest would declare the patient clean.
There are certain wounds in our lives that are so severe that when they heal, they leave a scar. Some scars are visible while others are invisible ( physical or emotional). Those scars are there not to depress you but to remind you of the faithfulness of God. Although the wounds were painful, you wouldn’t be where you are if God was not on your side.
The scars means that the wounds are healed. Don’t let them be something that cause you to be guilty, mad at yourself or those who inflicted them on you. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Let those scars not remind you of pain but the grace of God that has brought you this far.
