Dan 6:4 So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him.
King Darius appointed one hundred and twenty officials to be in charge of the whole kingdom. Out of the one hundred and twenty, he appointed three commissioners ( of whom Daniel was one) that these officials might be accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss. Daniel distinguished himself among the commissioners and satraps that the king planned to appoint him over the entire kingdom.
When they learned of the plan to elevate him, the officials and the commissioners tried to block Daniel from ascending to the top. They tried to find grounds of accusations against Daniel in regard to government affairs and could not find any because he was faithful nor was there any error or fault found in him.
Like Daniel, it is expected of us to radiate God’s glory in our management of public affairs. Whatever duties that have been assigned to us , we should do them faithfully and whole heatedly like unto the Lord. Col 3:23 “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men” . If we do it right, vindication, restoration, honor and influence will be our portion.
