Job 19:25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth;
Job 19:26 and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God,
Job 19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns
within me!
*Resilience is the process of adapting well when faced with traumatic event such as adversity, trauma, tragedy and threats. It is also referred to as endurance, patience and longsuffering and it is a character that God grows in us through the coping grace.*
Despite his terrible condition that literary threatened his life, Job is in record as having issued one of the most quoted statement in the Bible – I *know my Redeemer lives* ! Job was categorical that despite the traumatic events leading to the loss of his wealth, family and his skin wasting away, in his flesh, he was going to see God with his own eyes. *In other words, he was going to recover and bounce back again.* It’s time to move from resilience to recovery.
It is admirable to note Job’s attitude for the duration he went through the ordeal. And for sure, at the end of it all, Job was able to rise up again. This is what he says; *Job 42:5 “I have heard of You by the* *hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You” . It’s true that we have come through extremely rough times. Nevertheless,there is a paradigm shift in the atmosphere. It’s time to arise and bounce back again.*
