Jgd 14:13-14 If you can’t tell me the answer, you must give me thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes .” “Tell us your riddle,” they said. “Let’s hear it. ” He replied, “Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet. ” For three days they could not give the answer .
As Samson embarked on a journey to Timnah together with his parents. A young lion came roaring towards him. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat.
Some time later, when he passed through the same route, he turned to look at the lion’s carcass, and in it he saw a swarm of bees and some honey. He scooped some honey with his hands and ate .When he rejoined his parents, he gave them some, and they too ate .Its from this occurrence that a riddle was born ,”out of eater something to eat.
life’s progressive journey is never devoid of dangerous predators and other devourers aiming at tearing our flesh and crushing our bones . But we are offered an assurance… out of what seemingly appears as the roaring lions looking for someone to devour, God will turn the predator into prey.
The lions may roar and growl, yet the teeth of the great lions are broken and the cavities within their body will be a hive with favourable conditions for incubating our blessing. What was meant to kill us will be our nutritive and curative agent adding more days of our existence.
