2Ki 7:8 And when these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp, can went into one tent and ate and drank, and carried from it silver and gold and clothing, and went and hid them; then they came back and entered another tent, and carried some from there also, and went and hid it.
The Syrian army had besieged Samaria and there was a great famine. Outside the gate were four leprous men who had been quarantined because of their skin disease. If they did nothing, they risked dying of hunger. Approaching the Assyrian camp for assistance was equally risky. Despite their despair, they chose the least hopeless course of action; they decided to go to the Assyria camp and ask for food.
As they approached the Syrian camp, God threw the Assyrian army into a supernatural panic and caused them to abandon their camp and the foodstuffs to the leprous Jews. The four went into the tents and ate and drank and carried away silver, gold and clothes and went and hid them . The Lord did not only provide food for them but also silver, gold and clothing. He also used them to bring deliverance to his people.
In the storehouse of our God, there is more than enough supplies for his people. He is more than willing to ensure that we do not only meet our minimum requirements, but we have more than enough so that we can be a blessing to those other saints who are in need. May He overwhelm you with more that you have asked and believed in Jesus name!
