Eze 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded and as I prophesied there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
To prophesy is to speak for God and to speak forth God’s word. Therefore, in the Bible those who speak for God are called prophets. In Scripture, to prophecy is to preach; to instruct in religious doctrines; to interpret or explain Scripture or religious subjects; to exhort (Kjv dictionary)
Ezekiel was taken by the spirit of the Lord to the valley which was full of dry bones. He was commanded to prophesy to the dry bones to hear the word of the lord and live. As he prophesied as commanded , ultimately the dry bones became an exceedingly great host. His work was to prophecy and God did the rest.
Today there is a dire need for preaching, instructing, exhorting or prophesying the sound doctrine. Like Ezekiel, our work is to prophecy and leave everything else to the Lord. If we will experience great moves of God in our lives, families , the ministry and the market place, we must prophecy as commanded.
