Mat 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Mat 7:8 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
In life, you don’t get far along the way if you give in to every whim to quit. There is something in every one of us that urges us to continue knocking. Courage comes when we shut our spiritual ears from every contrary voice telling us that the door won’t open. If you don’t knock , no one will know that you are there. The best way to knock is through prayers.
Jesus gives three degrees of requesting something from God. The first one is asking, then seeking and finally knocking. He uses the word ” knock” in a figurative sense of someone at the door knocking. When you knock , you don’t just do it once. It requires persistence until the door is opened.
If you have asked and nothing happened, then seek. If after seeking nothing has happened, then start knocking. We must get the courage to knock on the door of that promotion, that healing, the next level, that breakthrough etc until the door opens. Some things will be given to you when you ask while others will require seeking. For some , you will have to knock for some doors to open (Patrick Oben)
