Psa 26:1 Vindicate me, O LORD, For I have walked in my integrity. I have also trusted in the LORD; I shall not slip. Psa 26:2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart.
To vindicate means ” to clear you of suspicion, accusation, or doubt”. There are very many brethren in the Bible who faced various unjust accusations and the Lord vindicated them.
Its most likely that David wrote this Psalm when he was being persecuted by King Saul and other like minded. It’s probable they might have accused him of a number of crimes and misdemeanors making him look like a very bad man. But David appeals for God’s righteous vindication. He even goes to the extent of inviting his maker to conduct a ” forensic examination ” of his heart and declare him innocent.
Dear saints, if you will take a stand for what is right, for what God has instructed you to do and obey his voice, your day of vindication is coming. God will free you from all those allegations or blame . He will take what is wrong and make it right. He is our vindicator.
Isa 54:17 No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me, declares the LORD.
