2Ch 20:17 ‘You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.”
From the background, we have a formidable invasion of king Jehoshaphat’s kingdom by the Ammonites, Moabites and their allies. Surprisingly , Jehoshaphat did not concentrate so much on mustering his forces. Instead, his great care was to obtain the favour of the Lord.
The King set himself to seek the Lord. He proclaimed a fast throughout Judah. He appointed a day that they might join together in asking help from the Lord. Jehoshaphat was personally the mouth of the congregation to God. While he was still praying, the Lord answered affirmatively that he was not going to fight; all that he needed to do was to position himself , standstill and see the salvation of the Lord.
We must align ourselves with God before we can be effective anywhere and to anyone else. We must engage in intentional prayers before our feet hits the ground. Where you position yourself is extremely important and will determine the battles outcome. We also have to strategically position ourselves in our area of specialization for maximum output.
