Gen 27:28 Therefore may God give you of the dew of heaven, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and wine.
Rain comes only during certain times in Palestine. We have the early rains and the late rains. The remaining growing season is provided with water by the dew. The dew kept vegetation alive during drought and times of great heat.
It is among the blessings that Jacob received from Isaac. Isaac promised Jacob that as earth would produce its fatness of grain and new wine so also the heavens would produce dew. Dew is depicted as coming from heaven because all blessings come from heaven.
Dew symbolizes the unmerited favor from our heavenly father. It is used to refer to prosperity, resurrection, long life and blessings. May our heavenly father cause the dew of heaven to fall on each and everyone of us this day. May we receive divine refreshment regardless of every form of drought in our lives in Jesus name!
