Pro 20:4 The sluggard will not plow because of winter; therefore he will beg during the harvest and have nothing.
Procrastination is the habit of intentionally postponing matters. It is to intentionally putting off doing something that should be done. The procrastinator differs important work, decisions, chores, engagements etc that should be done in a timely manner to a later date.
The Bible calls those who refuse to work sluggards. It predicts a hungry future for them. The example here is a cold winter morning when plowing needs to be done , but the sluggard chooses to stay in a warm bed. When the time of harvest comes, the sluggard has nothing and comes begging. Lazy people will always have excuses to avoid doing something.
Dreadful effects of procrastination include but not limited to losing precious time, not meeting goals, ruining careers, lowering self esteem, poor academic performance and increased interpersonal issues . We should avoid putting off to tomorrow what can be done today.
