Psa 73:23-26 Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Asaph the psalmist and a temple singer opens the chapter from a normalcy complaining perspective . “My feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.”psalms 73:2-3 Till he entered the sanctuary of God and understood the joy of God presence in his life. Psa 73:17
The joy of unceasing presence of God is our ultimate desire.Any other presence of people and things we value can change suddenly, even unalterably. But God never forsakes us even in death when our flesh and heart fails.
When walking over rough ground, miry steps in the struggles of life, balance becomes unsteady and we start to stumble, God’s strong hand takes hold of ours and steadies us, giving us confidence that we won’t fall. The unceasing presence of Jesus, the strength of his hand, and the comfort of his voice is all we need .
