Gen 12:1The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
Everyone needs comfort ,companion and living in a well conversed area compared to living in strange land full of strange dwellers. Abraham became a victim of Gods choreographed discomfort by being ordered to vacate his area of operation to a land not known by anyone except God. I believe that his neighbors were equally shocked by his response .
But the discomfort came along with fully packaged promises. “I will make you into a great nation, bless you, make your name great, and you will be a blessing and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you”
( Gen12:2-3). At times ,life takes us through twist and meanders that no one knows its destiny, except God. We are moved from known to unknown ,friends to strangers and from simple to complex set ups.
“You mean God does not want me happy, comfortable, and satisfied ?”one may ask.
God created you for something much more bigger than our definition of happiness and comfort . Our natural concept of existence is much too shallow, much too tame, and much too comfortable to fathom.
This comes with own personalised as well as generational blessings
