Joh 9:11 He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and I received sight.”
This was a miracle for a man born blind. The fact that the man was blind from birth eliminated all possibilities of fraud. Jesus spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle and applied the clay to his eyes and told him to go and wash on the pool of Siloam ( which is translated sent).
The man acted on Jesus’ words. He did not ask the why and how questions. He did not demand a written explanation of how this was going to work. This was his act of faith; he simply walked to the pool of Siloam, washed and came back seeing.
The healing of the blind man aroused much discussion and amazement among his neighbours. When they asked him how he had been healed , he said , ” the man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes and told me to go and wash at the pool of Siloam. So I went and washed and I received my sight . Faith is giving corresponding action to God’s word.
