Psa 92:13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. Psa 92:14 They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, Psa 92:15 To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
The house of the Lord is God’s dwelling place. It is a place of rest in God’s presence. The righteous are viewed as passing their days continually in the temple courts. Like trees, the righteous are seen as planted in the temple courts where they flourish in the presence of God. The word planted creates an impression of being stationary and permanent. In other words, they have a sense of belonging.
For such, God has promised longevity and fruitfulness. Those who are planted in the house of God shall bear fruits during all the seasons of their lives. Even during their old age, they shall continue bearing fruits – old age will not take away their vitality. They will be productive individuals excelling in all that they put their hands on.
Nothing blossoms without being planted. The Psalmist declares…
” Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever” (Psa 23:6 ). When we are planted in the house of our God, we will not only remain fresh and flourishing but we will also continue to behold his presence all the days of our life.
