Eze 36:26-27 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
A factory reset is a process that clears all data and setting from a device and returns it to it’s default setting, meaning that the devise is reset to the point where it is in the same state it was in when it was first manufactured. It helps users regain control of their devices and restores it to its original state. ( Prey Project).
The Israelites had proved to be stubborn and rebellious for centuries. God was now determined to bring a permanent change. He was going to remove the heart of stone and stead put in them a heart of flesh. He was going to give his people a new heart and a totally new spirit to enable them keep God’s rules and obey his commandments. This people will be God’s treasured possession and he will be their God.
God transforms ones stony and “hardy” heart . The heart’s radicalised nature ,rebellious affiliation and evil gratification is done away with .This is substituted with a new heart under management of His Holy Spirit who guides it into obedience ,honesty and godliness. God is able and willing to reset anyone’s heart . He is a God of new beginnings.
