Hab 2:2 Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
Hab 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
It was Lee Bolman who said , ” a vision without a strategy remains an illusion “. The vision in simple language is about what to achieve, and the plan ( strategy) is about how to achieve. A vision without a plan is just a dream. This means that it cannot be validated or quantified.
Visions occur frequently in the Bible as supernatural revelation. God told Habakkuk to write a vision and make it plain on tablets. This must have been very elaborate because it would elicit action ( run) to those who were going to read it. The vision would have the capacity to ” speak” and would surely come to pass.
God has been gracious to us and has revealed what he wants us to accomplish in this life. God’s blueprint gives us a vision of finished product. God has provided a plan of what we need to do in every season of our lives ( Jer 29:11 ). We must come up with a strategic plan of how we will achieve it.*Where there is a vision there is provision. No divinely orchestrated vision will ever stall. It will not tarry longer than the prescribed time.*
