Colossians 1:16 (KJV) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Jesus was God’s agent in creation, both the visible and invisible as well as in the earthly and heavenly spheres. It was Jesus who spoke the cosmos into existence. This confidently expresses the supremacy of Christ. He is not only the firstborn over all creation but He existed before creation.All nations are dependent on him.
What the believer should put into consideration is that it is God who is in the highest place. It is Him who controls dominions, thrones and principalities and whose decisions can’t be thwarted. He rules over all demons, gods and goddesses. He rules over Satan himself. He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings( Rev 17:14).
As the passage states, all things were created by Him and for Him. We are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ.So when things seems to head the wrong way and skirmishes increase left and right, by virtue of beng His saints, He will reign over all powers and they will obey Him.Our fate is not in the hands of our detractors .We are fully dependent on Jesus to steer us to His purpose and our ultimate destiny. Do not heed to other voices, remember He controls the whole universe!
