Isa 55:1 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Isa 55:2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.
The writer of the book of Hebrew defines faith as ” the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen ( Heb 11:1). Through faith , we can be sure that something is true even though we cannot see it. Faith is the assurance and certainty that invisible things are true and that future things will come true.
Isaiah extends God’s divine invitation to ” everyone ” who thirsts. They are to come and have access to the waters. Those without money are most welcomed to buy and eat without money and without cost. They are to eat what is good and delight themselves in abundance. Although this seems to be absurd and contradictory, it is practically possible by faith!
Faith is the only currency that can access the heavenly stores. It is the only currency that is not in short supply, does not depreciate and is readily available. In such hard times as these , when we have poor cash flow and persistent shortages of essential products and services, we can access them in the heavenly stores through faith.
