Jud 15:15-17 Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men. Then Samson said,”With a donkey’s jawbone I have made donkeys of them. With a donkey’s jawbone I have killed a thousand men.” When he finished speaking, he threw away the jawbone; and the place was called Ramath Lehi.
Samson was the strongest man physically in his time when he judged Israel. On this day, The Spirit of the Lord came upon him and finding a jawbone, he struck down one thousand of his enemies. After his mission was accomplished, he threw away the jawbone. His strength and formula did not come from a jawbone but from the Lord.
Many at times when we were faced with a challenge, the Lord gave us a way out. Sometimes we tend to box God into a certain formula or method. That He can only solve our issue through the one method or formula he used in the past.
After success, we ought to throw away the jawbone. God is not limited, His ways are not our ways nor his thoughts our thoughts, as high as the heavens are above the earth, so his ways his ways and his thoughts are higher than our ways and thoughts . The Lord has the power to deliver us from the challenges and problems we face. But He has many different ways of delivering us, and sometimes they may not be what we expect.
