Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.
Professor Theodor Erismann, conducted an experiment by fitting his student with goggles that made everything appear upside down. Up was down, and down was up
it was very difficult for the student to adjust. Walking was difficult .Seeing smoke falling from a match or water pouring upward gave him weird sensations. After 10 days he started to adjust , He was able to do everyday activities. He walked and even rode a bicycle.
Is our world normal? It may seem so, but itβs not. Many are wearing upside down goggles. What is right and worth of respect has been substituted with all over praised evil and crookedness of the society .Just like the days of Isaiah, gall is as sweet as beverage ,light is darkness and unholy revered. What a mess! In our situation, this may include corruption, violence, idolatry, immorality, LGBTQ just to name a few.
But the good thing is that Christ came to set the crooked straight and to offer a real norm for the perverse generation. Coming to him sets the abnormal norm The children of the light are able to distinguish light from darkness. They embrace the light and abhors darkness. They call a “spade a spade and not a big spoon”. They will always condemn evil even when they appear odd or misplaced!
