Jer 1:7-9 But the Lord said to me:“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
For you shall go to all to whom I send you,And whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces,For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.
Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me:
“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
” It has been said ,” Excuses are tools for incompetent, and those who specialize in them seldom go far” . Ben Franklin wrote, ” He that is good in making excuses is seldom good in anything else”. Gabriel Meurier stated, “. He who excuses himself, accuses himself (Lifeway – Rick Ezell July 27,2012).
According to Jeremiah, he did not measure to the task. According to him, the task ahead was enormous, he was ” just” a youth and his communication skills were wanting. But God knew him long before he was born and he had already divinely equipped him for that task. God has a way of overcoming those weaknesses, insufficiencies and inadequacies.
When God gives instructions, he releases all the resources, personnel, the way to go about it, the grace and the anointing. What counts most is our availability and not our age, our profession, our locality or our experience. God has a way of overcoming those weaknesses, insufficiencies and inadequacies. When we obey God and step in to accomplish his purposes , we are assured of his favor, blessings, provision and protection.
