Genesis 47:5 Then Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, saying, “Your father and your brothers have come to you.
Genesis 47:6 The land of Egypt is before you. Have your father and brothers dwell in the best of the land; let them dwell in the land of Goshen. And if you know any competent men among them, then make them chief herdsmen over my livestock.”
The story of Joseph emphatically emphasize that all is we well that ends well. If something has a good result or finally succeeds, previous problems are not important ( Cambridge Dictionary)
Jacob had already concluded that a vicious animal had torn Joseph, his favorite son into pieces. Even as Jacob mourned his son, Joseph was very much alive and on his way to the top in Egypt.
At the end of it all, Jacob is reunited with his favorite son Joseph. They settle in the best part of Egypt – Goshen ( A place of comfort and plenty ). Jacob lives another seventeen years enjoying the best of Egypt.
May be your previous chapter was surrounded by much negativity, uncertainty, fear and sorrow. You just have to believe that where you are right now is a preparation ground for where God is taking you. Cheer up because the best chapter of your book is still being written. Jer 29:11 .. For I know the plans I have for , ” declares the Lord, ” plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
