Jos 6:2 And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.
This was before the fall of Jericho. God had already delivered Jericho into their hands. He did not say ” I will give”.” He said “I have given.” The victory belonged to the children of Israel and now they were called to take possession of it.( Streams in the desert) The big question still remaining was how.
By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after they had marched around them for seven days ( Heb 11:30) . It was faith that dared to claim a promised victory solely on the basis of the authority of God’s word. God responded to their faith for when they shouted, He caused the walls to fall.
The victory has already been delivered in advance and by faith , go for it.
