1Joh 4:18″There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
Fear is a natural human response to danger, uncertainty, or challenges. It comes uninvited and often knocks at the door of our hearts in times of adversity. But as believers, we have the assurance that when fear knocks, faith can rise to answer with courage. Nelson Mandela once said, “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.” Fear comes in many forms—fear of failure, fear of the future, fear of rejection etc. But in every instance, faith can transform that fear into an opportunity for courage.
When fear knocks at the door, it is like a fiery dart aimed at our hearts. But faith acts as a shield, blocking the attack and turning our focus toward God’s promises. Faith empowers us to face challenges with confidence, knowing that God is with us. When we trust in God’s presence, courage naturally flows. We can move forward, not because we are fearless, but because we trust in God’s faithfulness.
Fear may knock at the door of your heart today, tomorrow, or in the future. But as followers of Christ, we are equipped with faith that responds with courage. God’s promises, His presence, and His perfect love will guide us through every challenge. So when fear knocks at the door, remember to let faith answer. For then it will turn out that “Fear knocked at the door. Faith answered. No one was there.”
