Then the Lord said to Abram after Lot had separated from him, “now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward for all the land you see , I will give it to you and to your descendants forever. (Gen 13:14-15)
Abram lifted up his eyes hence he was moved by revelation. Lot made his decision based on self interest. The wickedness of Sodom did not deter him. It is surprising that Abram let Lot choose first .Only after Lot left did YHWH reappear to Abram. He broadened his horizon to the north, south , east and west. He promised to give that land to Abram and his descendants forever.
May God open our eyes of faith this morning. May He cause increase and expansion in all that you do. May he cause you to see the many opportunities He has put before you . May He bless the work of your hands.
