Mat 16:26 For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Thinking for a moment, owning the whole world,? isn’t it amazing ?,all the prairie of America ,the falling water falls ,all the wild, the spreading oceans, Himalayan heights ,magnificent skyscrapers ,fleets and airlines etc .The feeling that comes with all the riches ,gold and mineral deposits. Jesus said ,if all these belongs to a man ,and he ends up losing his life ,its all vanity of vanity.
The wise man Solomon rode on the same thought .He searched for meaning through riches , pleasure, laughter, choicest wine and food, hard work, wealth ,relationships,
entertainment ,learning and reading .But all these turned out to be meaningless; like chasing after wind. In the grand scheme of things, on the cosmic scale of time, nothing he accomplished mattered. All was vanity and grasping for the wind. (Ecc 2:11)
The world is a passing show and we are here only for a little while. Even if we could gain it all, it would be the height of foolishness to chose that when we can have something far better and enjoy it forever – inheritance with Christ. Our heavenly father knows exactly what we need and will always meet all our needs according to his riches in glory. God may not give you all that you want but will supply all your needs.”Seek first the kingdom of God and it’s righteousness and all these other things will be added unto you”.
