Mat 14:20–21 So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Jesus had just finished teaching a large crowd. It was late, and the disciples urged Him to send the people away to find food. But Jesus, moved with compassion, took five loaves and two fish, gave thanks, and distributed them. What followed was not just a miracle—it was a revelation of God’s nature. He didn’t just meet the need. He exceeded it.
Our God is not the God of barely enough. He is the God of overflow, the God of abundance, the God who does exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think. The crowd was not only fed—they were filled. And not just filled—there were leftovers. Twelve baskets full.God did not just quiet their hunger; He revealed His abundance.
God’s provision is not based on what you have but on who He is. The same God who multiplied fish and bread is still multiplying today. He multiplies peace in our storms, hope in our despair, and strength in our weakness.Don’t settle for a “just enough” mentality when you serve a God of more than enough. He is El Shaddai—the God of more than enough!
