They  attacked the Israelites when they had asembled before the Lord at Mizpah.  They attacked when Samuel was making a sacrifice.  He cried out to the Lord on Israel&#8217;s behalf and the Lord answered him.<\/p>\n<p>The Lord thundered with a loud thunder against the Philistines that they were defeated before the Israelites. Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen and named it Ebenezer,  saying , thus far has the lord helped us.<\/p>\n<p>Christian friends, this far the LORD has helped us.   He has seen us through sicknesses,  attacks, bereavements, in trials, toils, perplexities and even through our many fears and worries.
