Ecclesiastes 3:12-13
\nI know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil–this is the gift of God.(NIV)<\/p>\n
Solomon ,the writer of the book of Ecclesiastes had everything that the world could offer. But even with wealth beyond account, he realized that unless the Lord gave him the ability to enjoy it, wealth in itself is futile.It is the Lord who gives us the ability to enjoy the fruits of our hard work; It is a gift.<\/p>\n
There are some whom the Lord has not given the ability to enjoy their toil.Though they wake up very early, sleep late, work extra hard and amass much wealth , they are never satisfied. They believe that
\nIf they can make one more shilling, then they will be happy.<\/p>\n
To them, happiness and enjoyment is a mirage.
\nWhen the Lord blesses the work of our hands, he gives us the ability to sit back and enjoy the fruits that come from our hard labour.<\/p>\n
Great events of providence cannot be accelerated or retarded by human cares or anxieties. We must submit to God and make proper use of what he has given us.When we are working according to God’s will, plan and purpose, then the fruits will be sweet and enjoyable.<\/p>\n
