Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water&#8217;s edge,the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho. <\/p>\n<p>Stepping out of the &#8220;comfort&#8221; to the promised land isn&#8217;t easy . It comes with risks and sheer faith. Flooded Jordan was the only hindrance between the Israelites camping at shittim and the promised land &#8211; Canaan. God didn&#8217;t command it to dry naturally to pave way but demanded the priests to step out, approach it and put their feet into it .(Jos 3:13)<\/p>\n<p> Crossing life&#8217;s Jordan requires a special bridge called stepping out.
