He bought land , by divine appointment from Hanamel the son Shallum . The deeds of the purchase were lodged in the hands of Baruch, before witnesses and he was ordered to lay them up in an earthly vessel. <\/p>\n<p>This was to signify that , though Jerusalem was now besieged, and the whole country was likely to be laid to waste, yet a time should come when houses, and fields  and vineyards should be  possessed again in the land.<\/p>\n<p>From our own physical perspective, it would a challenge to believe such a report.<br \/>\nGod infers that although we are under siege or seemingly facing imminent defeat, the situation is not permanent.
