Genesis 27:40 You will live by the sword and you will serve your brother. But when you grow restless, you will break his yoke from off your neck\u201d<\/p>\n
Esau went out hunting to see whether he can overturn the already impending dangers after selling his birthright. But contrary to his expectation,more doom was pronounced that he would live to serve Jacob his brother under the bondage of yoke until he became restless and break off the yoke to gain freedom.<\/p>\n
Essentially, a yoke is a harness used in oxen and other draught animals to control its movement and direction , subjecting it to the will of the master as they haul the load .By continued struggle and relentless effort ,the animal may succeed to break off the yoke and gain liberty. This is what Esau was to do.<\/p>\n
Our once audacious and incredible goals, business ideas, financial independence and dream job could have been snatched from us by complexities and defaults of life .We need not hold grudges against those who participated in restraining us in the yoke. But instead ,there is a need to arise and shake off the pain, disappointments and anger for they keep us unprogressive , stagnant and deprived of liberty.<\/p>\n
