Gen 12:1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your kindred and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.Gen 12:2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.<\/p>\n
To reset is to make a new fresh start due to changed circumstances, opportunities or priorities. The Bible makes promises of a new start , new beginning, second chance, a season of favour etc After the challenges and experiences we have encountered, this could be a time to reset.<\/p>\n
For Abraham it was a great reset; he had to detach and relocate if he was going to enjoy God’s blessings. God gave Abraham a one – verb command with four aspects to it. Abraham was to get himself (1) Out of his country (2) Away from his family (3) From his father’s house (4) To a land chosen by God. ( Holman’s Study Bible, NKJV EDITION). <\/p>\n
Whatever might have happened has already happened. This is a new season hence a new beginning Isa 43:18 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Isa 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. It’s time to start again! Yahweh will restore , lead and give you a fresh start.<\/p>\n
