Gen 28:16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, \u201cSurely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
After Jacob attained his brother’s birthright and blessings ,Esau held a grudge and purposed to kill him. Jacob had to flee to his uncle Laban’s place.
\nWhen he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. He took a stone and put it under his head and lay down to sleep.<\/p>\n
He had a dream where he saw a stairway resting on the earth and reaching to heaven and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, \u201c Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.\u201d In the middle of the desert ,discomfort of the stone made pillow ,running away from death and fear of the night ,Jacob had an angelic experience and God’s full assurance.<\/p>\n
It’s the desire of every soul to feel and experience the presence of God in their lives. Many have done prior preparation and recitation of certain creed to welcome His presence. But seldom do we know that God’s physical manifestation may come at the odd and least expected places and situations of life.<\/p>\n
At times we may experience divine visitation during the times of the miry bog ,gloomy darkness, and unfavourable hostile environment . May this manifestation be our daily portion and may it provoke a conviction within our hearts that surely ” the Lord is in this place !”<\/p>\n
