John referred to himself as &#8221; the disciple whom Jesus loved&#8221;. In this same gospel, the phrase is repeated several times.  John knew very well that Jesus loved him.<\/p>\n<p>The love of God is not based on the many good or bad things we have done. He loved us even when we were still sinners.
