Victorious generals  paraded their captives and the seized treasure behind them. Sweet incense was offered. The citizens saw and smelled evidence of victory.<\/p>\n<p>This is what Christ did when he died on the cross and rose again. He disarmed these principalities and powers. He humiliated these spiritual rulers of darkness in a public spectacle of shame and defeat. Having disarmed them, he paraded them in public behind him in his triumphal procession!<\/p>\n<p>Christian friends, we fight from victory and not for victory. We face a formidable but a defeated foe. The weakest of all believers has the power and the capacity to overcome  the forces of wickedness raised against him.
